A Simple Guide to Growing Pineapples in Water at Home

Selecting the Pineapple:

  • Choose a fresh pineapple with firm, green leaves.
  • Twist off the crown, keeping it intact.

Preparing the Crown:

  • Remove bottom leaves, exposing the stem.
  • Trim the stem to encourage root growth.

Growing the Pineapple in Water:

  • Place the crown in a glass of water, ensuring the stem is submerged but leaves are not.
  • Put it in a sunny spot and change the water every 2-3 days.

Root Growth:

After 2-3 weeks, roots will start to grow from the stem.

Transplanting the Pineapple:

  • Use a 12-inch pot with drainage holes and well-draining soil.
  • Plant the pineapple, burying the roots and stem.
  • Water thoroughly and place in a sunny spot.
