Baking Soda Method
Necessary Ingredients:
- 500 g of baking soda
- 10 liters of water
Steps:
Solution Preparation:
Dissolve the baking soda in the water.
Bottle Preparation:
- Pour the solution into plastic bottles with caps that have 3 to 5 small holes poked in them.
- The amount of liquid you need depends on the size of the anthill: the larger the anthill, the more solution you will need.
Application:
- When you find an anthill, open it with a hoe and generously pour the solution over it.
- It’s best to do this in the evening.
- Typically, the ants will disappear by morning.

Hydrated Lime:
- Sprinkle hydrated lime over areas infested with ants and around wooden parts of your greenhouse and neighboring plots.
- Lime does not harm plants and reduces soil acidity, promoting the growth of high-quality plants.
Herbs and Spices:
Herbs:
- Plant parsley, dill, or mint around your crops to repel ants.
- Lavender and wormwood are also effective at keeping ants away from infested areas.
Spices:
- Sprinkle black pepper on areas affected by ants. Ants hate the pungent smell and will avoid these areas.
- By following these simple and natural methods, you can effectively eliminate ants from your garden without harming your plants.
