How to Grow Garlic Greens at Home – No Garden Needed

This easy method, taught by a gardener, lets you grow garlic greens at home using just a few basics—no soil, no garden, no stress.

1️⃣ Pick Your Cloves

Choose garlic cloves that are already sprouting, or slice a bit off the tip to encourage them. Leave the skin on!

2️⃣ Prepare a Clear Glass

Use a 250 ml transparent glass. It helps you keep an eye on roots and water levels while looking pretty cool on the counter!

3️⃣ Arrange the Cloves

Place cloves around the edge of the glass, sprout-end up. Make sure they sit upright and stay in place.

4️⃣ Add Warm Water

Fill the glass with warm (not hot!) water—just enough to touch the bottom of the cloves, without covering them fully.

5️⃣ Find a Sunny Spot

Put the glass somewhere bright, but not in direct sunlight. Too much heat can dry or burn the cloves.

6️⃣ Watch and Wait

In about 7 days, you’ll see shoots growing. Change the water regularly to keep things fresh and clean.

7️⃣ Harvest Smart

When the greens reach 8 cm or more, trim what you need with scissors. Use them right away—flavor fades fast!

8️⃣ Start Again When Needed

After one harvest, the cloves are done. Just repeat the process with new ones for a continuous supply!

This simple trick is perfect for apartments, kitchen windows, or anyone who wants to skip store-bought garlic. Fresh, fast, and full of flavor—give it a try! 🌿💚
