Selecting the Cutting:
- Choose a healthy stem, 6-8 inches long, with at least two sets of leaves.
- Make a clean cut just below a leaf node and remove flowers or buds.
Preparing the Cutting:
- Remove lower leaves, leaving 2-3 at the top to encourage root development.
- Optionally, dip the cut end into mashed banana for a potassium boost.
Planting the Cutting:
- Fill a pot with well-draining soil, moistening lightly.
- Insert the cut end into the soil, burying one node below the surface.
Rooting and Care:
- Place in a warm, bright spot with indirect sunlight.
- Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged, misting regularly.
- Monitor for root development in 4-6 weeks and transplant as needed.
